梅のスパゲッティ

The Japanese part of the Internet is becoming my home now. And among other things I am going to share with you today, I found this interesting recipe for spaghetti with plum-sauce. For those of you who can’t understand the recipe, but want to try, here is my humble translation. If you find any errors, please report them, much obliged!

材料 ざいりょう
[Ingredients]
スパゲッティ(1人分、200g位)
[Spaghetti (approx. 200g for 1 person)
梅干(2個) うめぼし (2こ)
[2 plums]
胡麻油 ごまあぶら
[Sesame oil]
しお
[Salt]

作り方 つくりかた
[Recipe]

梅干を半分に切り、種を取り出します。
Cut the plums in half, and remove the seed.

梅干を擂り鉢[すりばち]でよく擂り潰します[すりつぶします]。
Mash the dried plums properly with a mortar.

胡麻油、塩を加えて[くわえて]、更に擂り潰します。
Add Sesame oil and salt and mash the plums again.

スパゲッティを茹でます[ゆでます]。
Boil the Spaghetti.

スパゲッティが茹で上がったら、器[うつわ]に移し[うつし]、ソースと和えて[あえて]出来上がり。
When the spaghetti are boiled, move them into a bowl, pour the sauce over it and you are finished.

According to the inventor of this recipe, it not only tastes fresh and delicious, but also looks good with the plum sauce that adds a cherry color to the spaghetti. If I don’t end up with a food-poisoning and me being hospitalized, I will report back how it tastes and how much of my kitchen is still intact.
